A website isn’t “done” once it’s launched. From content management and performance tuning to security, SEO, and redesigns—managing a site well requires a broad and evolving skill set. This talk explores the full life cycle of a website, from planning and development to long-term management and continuous reinvention. We’ll look at what’s required at each stage, which skills matter most, and how teams and solo operators can sustainably support their sites over time in ever changing and demanding times.

Stephen is a WordPress expert with over 20 years of experience spanning consulting, design, development, and ongoing site management. As the creator of Amibe, a managed WordPress solution, he brings a deep understanding of both the technical and human aspects of supporting websites long-term. Stephen also facilitates workshops that explore presence, embodiment, and authentic communication—skills just as essential in client work and digital strategy as they are on the dance floor.
He’s presented at WordCamps in Cape Town, Mumbai and Ahmedabad, the CMS Africa Summit, and has almost 20 years of group facilitation experience.
